If you've made it to this forest, you're lucky. Because if you've made it to this forest, you're alive.
Welcome to the Void. Where are you? Why, my friend, you're on the brink of death, and where you go from here, that's your choice. There are more things in this world than flesh and blood, don't deny it. Do you believe in them? Well... that's what you're here to find out.
The Void was once known as the Deadwood, back in the days when humans lived here. Now? Not so. The humans abandoned the forest long ago; they said they felt something. Then the wild cats left. And the bears. And the wolves. And the prey.
The Void was left empty. Things stirred there, out of sight and out of mind. And soon enough, the prey ventured back into the forest to escape their hunters, and the hunters followed. The forest had lost its dark legends in the generations of wolves.
Too bad.
News :: The activity check is done with; anyone who didn't reply was deleted. Please, WE NEED MORE ACTIVE MEMBERS. Also, the check left the Sorakki pack leaderless, so anyone looking for an alpha position can go there. Put in a new skin, hope you like.

Season :: Spring is almost here. The snows are lighter and less frequent, and trees and plants are beginning to grow. The river flows more quickly and deeper, with melted snow added to its waters.
Prey :: Squirrels and other small prey are still hidden away for the rest of the season, but deer and others are easier to find. Though that may not last long, as the Hellborn haven't had much to eat for awhile....

The Kairee Pack The Kairee wolves are casual and powerful. They are free-spirited, bold and brave, and always fight for what they think is right. They can usually be found between the mountains and the river that flows from them, though like all packs, they are constantly on the move. Moderators: Xarae, Nanook

The Tynan Pack The Tynan is a pack for tainted souls. Its members are dark, bitter, cold, and some, evil. They are fiercely protective of their territory, near the edge of the Void. Most male intruders are attacked on the spot, and any females that wander in face a chance of being forcebred and beaten. Many of the trees there are dead and bare, but in some places they grow so close together that they blot out the sun entirely. Moderators: Tain, Khaine

The Sorakki Pack The Sorakki pack is full of wild tyrants, always on the move. At their best, they are good fighters and loyal to their friends; at their worst, they whine, make up excuses, and get depressed. They are rumored to be some of the best liars living. Moderator: Kiba

The Void :: Endangered beauty, woods and water
The Mountains There are two mountains at the western edge of the Void. The northernmost mountain is tall enough that you can see the whole region from near its snowy peak. The southern mountain is not as tall, but it is full of caves that you might want to stay away from....

The Waterfalls Flowing down from between the two mountain peaks are six massive, booming waterfalls. The first is hardly more than a five-foot drop, and animals come to drink from it. But each fall is higher and more treacherous than the last, and the poor soul that should happen to fall in... well... let us pity them.

The River From the booming falls at the mountains' edge, the river is a much more peaceful scene. Willows and reeds grow at the water's edge; wolves come to meet others or cool off in its icy waters; the current is swift and silent. In winter, the river freezes over, and the ice is none too thick.

The Lake The river pours into a wide, deep lake full of fish and frogs. Rabbits, deer, and other prey come to drink from it when they can be found, so the shores serve as an excellent hunting spot. The trees grow right along the water's northern edge, but the rest of the shore is clear, a wonderful respite from the dark shadows of the Deadwood.

The Deadwood The Deadwood is a claustrophobic stretch of forest, the heart of the Void. Trees here are dense and dark and twisted; oaks, pines, and firs grow tightly together, at points blotting out the sun. Few venture here - whoever does is either very brave, or very stupid.

The Ups and Downs :: The Haunted lands: beauty or treachery, take your pick
The Heart In the very center of the Deadwood is a clearing called the Heart. The humans, in the distant days when they once inhabited the Void, never came here. Nor did the predators, nor the prey. The Heart emanates a kind of dark presence, an aura if you wish. It is from here, they say, that the Hellborn first arose.

Windhallow Men lived in the Void for less than a year. They were to build a town and name it Windhallow, just inside the treeline of the Deadwood. As they approached the area to clear it, they saw something. It was spattered over the ground and the tree trunks, what it was they couldn't quite tell. It was a kind of tacky red substance, dotted with foam. The men dropped their axes and left without a word.

The Black Pool The future residents of Windhallow never discovered this place, but the wolves did. Few and far between are those brave - or stupid - enough to look into the Pool, but some claim to have seen things in the water.
